Giovanni & Co is a family owned and operated business here in the heart of Broken Hill, NSW.
THE COFFEE:
Our family adores coffee and food, it’s in our blood after all! At Giovanni’s we proudly brew a Sunshine Coast Coffee Roastery blend, which we have lovingly named “Bruno’s Blend” (after our dog!) … and not only do you guys all love drinking it, we love brewing it. At the coffee bar you can not only order traditional espresso, there is always a variety of Single Origin coffee on offer as Cold Brew or Batch Brew! Decaf drinkers rejoice! We have chosen the finest Decaf Blend we could find, to better support our decaf drinkers… we love all coffee!
Abigail (owner and founder) has been in the coffee industry for 18 years, it is truly one of her greatest loves in life, and we believe that passion comes through in every cup!
THE FOOD:
As mentioned above … we love food, and we love cooking and bringing our food to you fresh daily. At Giovanni’s we have a few specialties, including but not limited to our signature Whipped Ricotta Cannoli, Zeppoli, Lemon Crostata, Ricciarelli, loaded focaccia panini, Antipasto Bowls, Tiramisu Brownies, Lemon Polenta Cakes and our Salted Choc Cookies made with extra virgin olive oil (they’re a bit special!)… we often have many different cakes and meals in the cabinets, however these morsels above are on regular rotation!
⁃ Ricotta Cannoli is prepared and piped fresh in house only on the following days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
⁃ Zeppoli is prepared in house and available only on Wednesdays at this stage.
Our cannoli and zeppoli sells out within a few hours of our doors opening, so if you need to order for a party or gathering of sorts, please be sure to place an order with us at least the day before, as we cannot guarantee there will be any available for you!
THE PANTRY:
Another thing you can find in the shop are plenty of Italian/Mediterranean pantry staples, both useful and nostalgic. Giovannis are Gaganis Bros wholesalers, so we often have an ample range of herbs, spices, oils and pantry staples in our retail space. Our retail stock range includes some of the following celebrated brands: Murray River Salt, Gaganis Bros, Lydy, Chino Club Cups, The Italian Flame, Bialetti, Hoyts Spices.
Giovanni & Co started as an idea many years ago when Abigail was a wee teenager, and we are now blessed and proud to have grown this business from just a mini coffee van, to a new thriving and busy cafe that loves to support and service our local community.
